Phil Coates is an accomplished remote location Director Cameraman with
an enviable track record of working in extreme environments in seven
continents. Clients include: BBC, Discovery International, ITV, Channel
4, Channel 5 and National Geographic Channel. Phil is also a respected
expedition leader and polar guide and has led over 30 international
expeditions taking him to the four corners of the globe. He has trekked
through steamy jungles and arid deserts, climbed in the high Himalayas
and explored the icy wastes of the Polar Regions working in temperatures

Andy is our ultra running expert who is responsible for the content
and the quality of your running camp experience.
Andy is the one who will call you in advance of your stay with us and
who will be coaching you during the camp so that you get the most from
your time with us.
An inspirational speaker and coach who has worked in business, education
and sport in the UK and abroad since 2000, he is world-class at making
the complex appear simple.

He also practices what he preaches.
In 2003 he said goodbye to a 17 year spell in triathlon by setting
fastest stage times for the Enduroman Arch To Arc Challenge - a 300 mile
solo triathlon linking London & Paris via an English Channel swim.
Since then he has focused on ultramarathon running with career
highlights to date being 4th, 2nd & 2nd at Lakeland 100 (2008, 2010,
2011) and a DNF at UTMB in 2011.
He is a published author who has appeared on TV and radio and lives with
his family in the north of England.

Joy O’Flannagan is a fully qualified International Mountain Leader, a Chartered Physiotherapist & a BASI qualified ski instructor. In her spare time (!) she also runs – in the mountains, and has completed the Northface Ultratrail (CCC), Chamonix marathon & mountain marathons in the UK & France.

Phill has a long standing passion for all aspects of mountaineering. He qualified as mountain guide in 1979 since when he has been actively involved in teaching and guiding parties in rock climbing, mountain walking, alpinism, ski mountaineering and trips to the greater ranges.
Personal and guiding trips have taken Phill to a wide range of venues across the world: Western and Eastern Europe, Siberia, Africa, South America, Canada, USA, Greenland and the Himalaya. His passion for the mountains is unabated and so the list continues to grow. He greatly enjoys the company of others who love the mountain environment; even his immediate family are all mountaineers.
He is an authorised Provider of training and assessment courses for ML, WGL, SPA & CWA and has also worked as an assessor on Mountain Guide assessment courses. His other numerous qualifications include; Qualified Teacher, Kayak Coach Level 4, Cave Instructor Certificate, Senior Instructor Dinghy Sailing.
